Studio Scampi is an Architectural Practice based between East London and the South Coast and was founded by Vita Rossi and George Bolwell. 

 

We have a particular interest in innovative and creative design, and believe in material led processes. 

 

Studio Scampi works across a range of scales, from the design and fabrication of furniture and fittings to architectural schemes. We are currently undertaking the Seaside Studio project, where Studio Scampi are working on the design and will be building the proposal as a self build project. 

 

 

 

 

Vita Rossi

Architect ARB, MArch, BA(Hons)

 

Vita graduated with distinction from the Bartlett School of Architecture. Prior to founding Studio Scampi she has worked between the fields of Architecture, Art and Fabrication. Vita has experience working for notable architecture practices and spent a number of years working as an Architect for artist Fiona Banner.  Vita currently is a designer at art fabricator The White Wall Co., working to design and deliver large scale sculpture and installations. 

 

Vita is the Unit Lead for Unit J, an undergraduate design unit at Oxford Brookes School of Architecture. Unit J focuses on experimental design methodologies.

George Bolwell

Architect ARB, MArch, BA(Hons)

​

George has experience working for notable architecture practices, including Grimshaw, Tonkin Liu, and the Manser Practice. He currently works with the artist Do Ho Suh to design large scale sculpture.

 

George won the Kyffin Williams prize for drawing in 2018 and was awarded the Elephant Magazine residency in 2020.
